Ultrasound Technician Education in New Jersey

CAAHEP, a premier accrediting agency, recognizes seven New Jersey accredited sonography schools situated in various New Jersey cities. The certificate is earned by training at a hospital, vocational or educational institution, or in the Armed Forces. The Associate degree or Bachelor's degree can be earned by attending a sonography program at a college or university. The State of New Jersey currently does not require a license to perform ultrasound procedures. As a minimum, it is important to become ARDMS certified to prove possession of the necessary ultrasound technology skills and knowledge that meet nationally recognized standards.
